Telescopic Handler

Training and Assessment for the Telehandler Ticket: Brisbane and Gold Coast

ABC Driving School provides formal and informal training and assessment for the obtainment of a telehandler ticket in Brisbane. Whether you are a beginner with no experience, or an old hand needing the ticket to satisfy employer requirements – we can cater our services to your needs and ensure you are fully equipped to safely handle this piece of machinery.

A telehandler, also called a telescopic handler, is a very versatile piece of heavy lifting machinery. The telescopic boom can be combined with a range of attachments -including fork tynes, a bucket, winch, platform or a lifting jib- for use in different applications. This means this machinery is perfect for meeting a whole variety of the tough demands of the agricultural and construction industries.

Like any piece of heavy equipment, a telehandler requires skill and experience to ensure accurate and safe operation in a workplace environment. Competency and licencing requirements will depend on the configuration and application of the telehandler.

As part of our services for plant machinery, an ABC Driving School qualified instructor can provide telehandler training and assessment either onsite or offsite to our students. All training is competency based, and all materials are provided by the school.

Training involves practical and theory-based elements, including logging hours of practice (either at your work site or at the driving school), and completing a theory exam. Upon satisfying all components, you will be deemed competent to operate the telehandler and receive your Statement of Attainment and photo ID licence, which are both nationally recognised.

For more information or to book your telehandler training, please call (07) 3263 6457 (Brisbane) or (07) 5575 1144 (Gold Coast).
