Formal and Informal Skid Steer Training: Gold Coast and Brisbane
A skid loader is a small, rigid frame vehicle with heavy lifting capabilities. It typically has four wheels, a fully-enclosed cab, and a plate or bucket at the front. This bucket can be used for digging, lifting and carrying materials, as well as loading materials into another vehicle such as a trailer.
Part of the vehicle’s appeal is its small size, which gives it more flexibility and agility than traditional front loaders.
ABC Driving School offers skid steer training (including for Bobcat machines) and assessment in Brisbane and the Gold Coast that can help increase the opportunities available to you in the resource and construction industries.
Our course includes:
- Formal training
- Theory and practical components
- All training materials provided
- A Training Plan with practice tasks, and logbook in which to log your hours
- The option of both onsite and offsite practice
- A theory exam to determine competence
- A nationally-recognised photo ID licence and statement of attainment upon completion
Because it is competency based, our course can be tailored to everyone from beginners looking to gain skill and confidence, to experienced plant machinery operators looking to gain additional capabilities for an existing or potential employer.
Training is done with a fully qualified instructor onsite at the driving school. Our Bobcat training uses minimum 2 litre vehicles due to Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
